Two-Day Python and AI Hands-On Workshop

Elevate Your Career with Python and AI

This two-day workshop is designed to take you from Python fundamentals to practical AI development using Python. We’ll start with the basics of Python programming and then move into how to apply Python for AI and machine learning tasks, including working with popular libraries and tools in the Python ecosystem.

Day 1: Getting Started with Python

Day: Monday, September 14, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Track: Cutting-Edge AI, Hands-on Labs

This workshop starts at the beginning. We’ll set up a Python development environment in Visual Studio Code and then spend the day working through the fundamentals of Python together, including data types, functions, control flow, data structures, modules, testing, and debugging. We’ll also look at how Python fits into modern developer workflows with notebooks, web APIs, and Microsoft Fabric.

Day 2: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Using Python

Day: Friday, September 18, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Track: Cutting-Edge AI, Hands-on Labs

On day two, we build on the Python foundation and move into artificial intelligence and machine learning. We’ll work through search algorithms, knowledge representation, optimization, machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and generative AI concepts using Python libraries and real development scenarios.

My Breakout Sessions

Fast Focus: Jupyter Notebooks in VS Code

Day: Wednesday, September 16, 2026
Time: 1:45 PM - 2:05 PM
Track: Database & Analytics, Fast Focus

If you’re curious about using notebooks without leaving your editor, this fast-paced session will show you how to get productive quickly with Jupyter notebooks in Visual Studio Code. I’ll walk through the extensions, core notebook workflows, and the features that make notebooks practical for data exploration, Python learning, and interactive development.

Developer’s Guide to Fabric Pipelines & Data Engineering Workflows

Day: Thursday, September 17, 2026
Time: 11:15 AM - 12:30 PM
Track: Database & Analytics

Microsoft Fabric is powerful, but the real value shows up when you can move data reliably through your platform. In this session, I’ll walk through how developers and data engineers can design and operate Fabric pipelines using notebooks, dataflows, Lakehouses, and Warehouses, with practical guidance on orchestration, monitoring, CI/CD, and building workflows that support analytics and AI without creating a mess.

Lakehouses, Warehouses, and OneLake Explained: Architecting with Microsoft Fabric

Day: Thursday, September 17, 2026
Time: 3:15 PM - 4:30 PM
Track: Database & Analytics

Fabric gives you several analytical engines on top of OneLake, which is great until you need to decide which one to use and why. In this session, we’ll break down the architectural foundations of Microsoft Fabric, when to use Lakehouses versus Warehouses versus other compute experiences, and how to apply practical architecture patterns for ingestion, transformation, governance, and semantic modeling.

Event Highlights

  • Spend five days with developers, architects, and Microsoft experts focused on practical modern development skills.
