The Cloud & AI Summit 2026
I'm speaking at The Cloud & AI Summit 2026 in St. Charles, Missouri, where I'll be presenting sessions on building MCP servers with C# and .NET and on designing modern web APIs with .NET 10, OpenAPI, and Azure.
Sep 30, 2026 - Oct 2, 2026 · Speaking

I’m excited to be speaking at The Cloud & AI Summit 2026 in St. Charles, Missouri. This year’s event runs for three full days and is focused on practical, expert-led content across Azure, AI, data, security, DevOps, and modern application development. I’ll be presenting two sessions that are both very much in the middle of where I spend my time right now: building MCP-based AI integrations and designing production-ready APIs on Azure.

Dates: September 30 - October 2, 2026
Location: Ameristar Casino and Convention Center, St. Charles, MO
My Sessions
Building MCP Servers with C# and .NET
AI agents are quickly becoming a first-class part of modern applications, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) is emerging as the standard way to connect those agents to tools, data, and business capabilities.
In this session, I’ll show how to build MCP servers using C# and .NET so your applications, copilots, and agentic workflows can interact with APIs, business logic, SQL, Azure services, Microsoft Graph, and other enterprise systems in a secure, structured way. We’ll cover the fundamentals of MCP, how to implement tools and resources in .NET, and how to connect MCP servers to developer experiences like VS Code, OpenAI clients, and Microsoft Foundry Agent Service.
This session is a good fit for developers and architects who want practical guidance for turning existing .NET systems into reusable AI capabilities.
Designing & Developing Modern Web APIs with .NET 10, OpenAPI, and Azure
Modern applications depend on APIs that are well-designed, secure, observable, and maintainable over time. Getting that right across the full lifecycle, from design through operations, is where a lot of teams struggle.
In this session, I’ll walk through how to design, build, document, secure, deploy, and operate modern web APIs using .NET 10, OpenAPI, and Azure. We’ll cover API-first design principles, the latest .NET 10 capabilities for Minimal APIs and controllers, and how services like API Management, App Service, Entra ID, and Azure Monitor fit into a production-ready API platform. I’ll also show how OpenAPI helps drive consistency, client generation, and contract enforcement across teams.
If you’re modernizing legacy APIs or building new cloud-native services and microservices, this session will give you practical patterns and implementation ideas you can put to work right away.
Event Highlights

About the Conference
The Cloud & AI Summit is a long-running, community-driven conference focused on Microsoft Azure, AI, and the broader Microsoft technology ecosystem. It’s the kind of event that balances practical implementation details with strong hallway-track conversations, which is a combination I always appreciate.
