Presentation

Chicago and the Quantum Age

By accelerating the disruption already underway in cloud and AI, quantum technology is poised to reshape the global economy over the next decade by solving classes of problems that remain out of reach for classical supercomputers.

In this session, Brad will walk through how Chicago has positioned itself as a global hub for quantum innovation, from the Chicago Quantum Exchange to the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park on the former South Works site. He will cover how the region is building momentum across quantum hardware, software, research, and commercialization, including efforts involving PsiQuantum, DARPA, IBM, Infleqtion, Diraq, and Pasqal.

If you want a practical view of where the quantum ecosystem is heading and why Chicago matters in that story, this session will give you a useful overview of the technology landscape and the broader quantum economy taking shape around it.
